People buy short term insurance to protect their assets. In the event of a loss, they expect to have their claim settled. You can download claim forms from our website. To ensure that your claim is settled swiftly and fairly, please note the following

• Motor Accident Claims
  • Ensure you obtain as much information about the third party as possible (name, ID no, car reg no, car VIN no, physical address, employer's name, all telephone numbers)
  • Find out where your car will be towed to (if applicable)
  • Obtain the names and contact numbers of witnesses
  • Report the accident to the nearest police station
  • Report the accident to AssetGuard (within 30 days) - we will notify your insurer
  • Complete the relevant claim form
    
• Motor Theft Claims
  • Notify your tracking company of the theft (if applicable)
  • Report the theft to your nearest police station
  • Contact AssetGuard immediately - we will notify your insurer
    
• Non Motor Claims
  • If the item is stolen, please report the theft to your nearest police station
  • The loss or damage must be reported to AssetGuard within 30 days
  • Complete the relevant claim form
  • We will advise you of your insurer's particular requirements
